
There are many reasons you might want to do this, but one interesting use is putting your q3ut4 folder in Dropbox (or similar service) to sync your settings, downloaded maps, etc. If you need to (or want to), you can change the Urban Terror game path. After this initial setup, the q3ut4 folder in the install directory should have no effect on the game. This is used only to populate your User Library with a default q3ut4 folder on first run.
